A chequing account is a deposit account opened for individuals or legal entities, enabling them to carry out day-to-day banking transactions (transfers, deposits and withdrawals of cheques and cash, etc.) and to access various payment instruments (cards, chequebooks, etc.).
NB: A minor may hold a chequing account provided he/she obtains authorization from a parent or legal guardian.

ACCOUNT OPENING CONDITIONS
- The unique identification number (NIU) issued by the General Tax Directorate.
- A photocopy of the valid National ID or Passport (for nationals) or a valid receipt with a copy of the birth certificate.
- A copy of a valid residence permit for foreign nationals.
- 02 4×4 photos.
- Home location map or recent bill (water or electricity)
- Proof of sources of income (pay slip or employment contract or any other document justifying an economic activity).
